after 6.1 hours, 32 landings...
It seems that my dance partner has now decided that I'm salvageable as a partner. With great patience she will undertake to teach me for quite a long time. Be wary of vixens with fabric wings my trike driving friends. Once she takes you in, you may never want to leave.
A tailwheel endorsement in my logbook is done.
Another world of aviation is open now to me, cubs and t-crafts, citabrias and decathlons, flybabys and champs, L-birds and so much much more. Golden age aviation at its best.
3.9 more hours and insurance will allow me to fly her solo.
I can't wait!

Date: 2007-09-17 06:09 pm (UTC)Yeah, she slips VERY nicely. I wonder why they put flaps on her. That's something else that I want to run through a few times while Carol is still in the back seat. We haven't even looked hard at the flaps. A friend of mine who use to have one tells me that with flaps and a slower approach speed I can expect to land in 200 to 300 feet solo in it. :) That's going to be very VERY nifty!
All and all it's been a great endorsement to get. I expect the citabria to teach me alot for quite a while. It's a whole other sort of flying.
