hooked up the 2nd monitor to the g3 today.... I could get used to this dual monitor thing...
figured out how to set up vpn on osX... then went and found the microsoft remote desktop client for macintosh... now I can log on remotly to work .. no need for a pc for that.
also went and found vnc and loaded icq, and msn messenger and set up ichat... it's turning into a real working machine for me!
picked up a book today at B&N on building dynamic websites with php and mysql...
proceeded to figure out how to enable php on apache on osX.. glad I can search the apple support forums... then it was time to get mysql installed and working under osX... that's done now.. now I can go forward in the excercises in the book.
it's not about sunday morning.. so I should shut this down and come at things fresh tomorrow.
But still, it's been a learning kind of day.
