slipstreamsurfrmy new toy arrived tonight. I am now typing this entry on a new to me Apple G3 Blue&White mac running osX 10.3.3!
it's a bit different and will take some getting used to. Perhaps the first thing to be done is replace this keyboard, it feels rather worn and clunky right now.... a new one might work a little bit better.
I have ichat working with my aim account, now to look into something for icq.. wish trillian had an osx port....
Had some excitement, only I could take a perfectly functioning mac out of it's shipping box, hook it up, have it come up just great on the house network, and then watch as it updated osX from the apple site and then go into a kernal panic on reboot. And me with no clue as to how to fix it or what to do..
With the livejournal groups, and the apple website on another pc I found out how to boot into osX's version of safe mode, and then ran a repair permissions on the osX volumn. That seemed to fix things and now it's back up and running happy!
Tomorrow class begins early for network security at Global Knowledge again.... so I should be heading to bed soon....
