the problem with being a night student in college...

is that things aren't offered but once a year, and if you miss the slot...
you are stuck...

ended up laying out last semester, so missed the 3000 level american lit class...
by the time I went to register for classes for spring, the writing class I needed is full...

nothing else in the english program is offered in the evening that I need or can take yet...
time to dredge out the few remaining classes outside of my major to see if there's anything offered in the evening that I can take...

this would be easier if I could just take day classes....

Given your situation, it may be worth emailing the professor/chair to ask about overrides.

My old english comp prof is now one of the undergrad advisors. We've been friends for several years now and I dropped her a note about it, about how I have been shadowing the system the last 2 weeks looking for someone to drop. She emailed me today and asked if I'd managed to resolve it yet. I told her no, and asked if it might be possible for an override into the class, reasoning because we know that someone will drop within the first week of classes anyway....

she may be able to help..

Thanks for the advice. stay tuned for future developments! :)

That kinda reminds me of my annoying waiting list to take my clincals.
