I'm going to bed now dreaming questions and FAR's....
waking up the same way...

A lot of time prepping right now...

Talked with my CFI last night. He said he expects a checkride in my future in the next week or so.

Not sure I'm quite ready yet for the oral exam, but I'll keep working on it.

He told me today how she'll start it.

Questions on:
Pilot Currency
Airplane inspections
Pilot and Airplane documentation
from there she'll branch out.
expect 2 to 3 hours.

He also gave me the cross country she'll ask me to plan:
Mid-way Regional(JWY) to Tyler Pounds(TYR) to Greenville Major(GVT)then back to Mid-way
first leg, VFR Checkpoint/Pilotage, second leg NAV by your preferred means (VOR), last leg, night useable checkpoints (freeway for most of it)

If I do well on the first leg on pilotage, then we'll probably only hit two or three checkpoints before she'll divert. Then once she's happy with that I'll put on the hood and procced with the test. Most likely she'll do the lost procedure after all the other airwork is done. That shouldn't be too bad, I'll be close to the Cedar Creek VOR and can grab another VOR in the area to locate myself.

If I can get a handle on soft/short field landings I should be good to go. I think we'll go practice those at Mid-way this weekend while I brush up the rest of the airwork. After all, that'll be the airport she wants to see them performed at.

I can do this....

really... I can.....
