so, now it is definition time!!
College - french for perpetually behind on work, sometimes instructor caused, sometimes student enforced.
Reason for todays definition boys and girls is that my Accounting instructor has posted a schedule on his website for the summer term. In it he states that we should have read chapters 1 and 2 as well as worked two sets of homework problems for class tonight. Class started last Wednesday. Our instructor decided not to attend the lecture, instead he got another instructor to take the class for him. We received no syllabus, no schedule and a very light lecture that wandered around chapter 1. The instructor leading the class barely knew what book we were supposed to be in, and had no idea of where the relevant tables were he was trying to use for illustration.
Now, I know that I'm an adult and it is my responsibility to make sure that I am prepared for my classes. However, I find this very unprofessional of the instructor. I realize that life isn't fair but this goes a little far. I can only hope that in tonights lecture the instructor will announce that he's pushing back his schedule by one day. That way we should be able to get caught up on things without repercussion to our grades.
Regardless, it is crunch time already, just a class into the semester.
