The only good thing about work at 6:30 in the morning....

Is that I'm the only one in the office. I can play anything I want at any volume.

There are parts of the Hair soundtrack that are just perfect for that time of the morning at high volume with a good cup of coffee, if no one else is around to be offended.

The NXT looks like a lot of fun.
It's amazeing looking at the packaged sensors they are including with the thing.

I've got an original Mindstorms kit, and have played a bit with it. It was neat to see the MIT project make it into the mainstream, more good stuff is coming along it looks like.

A FAR cry from the original Heathkit HERO kits of the early 80's.

So much cheap processing power, such easy intergration of sensors.

There have been a lot of false robotic dawns in the last 20 or 30 years, I think we may be tettering on the edge this time though. With things like the Roombas showing up in peoples houses, the early robotic lawnmowers, robotic lego kits for the children, technology is cheaper, faster, more available, more pervavisive in the environment. A lot of the fear or technology has gone away, or is quickly leaving our society.

The future is bright, where are my shades?
