keep it off - lesson 11
Jun. 17th, 2006 05:50 pmToday's flight was to be more landing practice. Luckily the gust front cleared GKY by the time my lesson started. The sky went to nearly clear, only a few light clouds about as we taxied to 16 with almost no wind. While I did my run-ups I was asked what instruments/guages were required for Day VFR. Sometimes I wonder if he does things like that to see if he can throw me off my checklist. On the last several lessons there have been a handful of questions like this that have dropped out of the blue. Sometimes in the air, sometimes around the table. He keeps me on my toes. I think he's checking up to make sure I'm still studying on the side. (and yes, I answered correctly) Of course, he got me on the next question, what was required for night VFR.
