My English score got me into the liberal arts school (95 percentile). They didn't count the "analytical" part so I basically just filled in answer boxes without reading (result: 45 percentile). I studied for the math section for 2 years BUT I got caught on every trick question (result: 30 percentile). Don't think that helps with your question re: how long to study, but there's my history with studying :)
